Supreme Court ordered to ban Chinese salt named Ajinomoto

Supreme Court (SC) on Saturday ordered a ban on the sale, import and export of ‘Chinese salt’ (monosodium glutamate) — popularly called Ajinomoto — everywhere the country, declaring it “hazardous for health”.

 

After hearing a suo motu case regarding the sale of MSG and used oil within the SC city register, the judge of Islamic Republic of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar ordered that the chief secretaries of all provinces be told of the court’s call.
